Our singular vision for Cluvio is making analytics accessible to companies of every size and with free viewers on our Pro and Business plan it is easy to share it with anyone in the company without any additional cost.
But as companies grow, they may require more granular sharing options to define who gets to see what. To address that, we have recently launched a new feature for our Business plan — User Groups.
User Groups cover several different use-cases:
1. For internal analytics you can now define which user has access to what dashboards, in order to make the list of dashboards more relevant or to restrict access to more sensitive information.
Perhaps you have a marketing team that cares about the AdWords and Google Analytics dashboards, but Support team metrics are not relevant for. Or you would like to have a finance KPI dashboard only accessible to the management team.
2. For external analytics, you can now define user groups for your customers, invite them as viewers to your Cluvio account and give them access to only the dashboards that are made specifically for them, with fully interactive filters.
Setting this up couldn’t be easier — select a set of users in your organization, assign a name like “Sales Department” and choose which dashboards should be accessible for the group.
In addition to the User Groups feature, we also added the option to have reports that take into account the logged-in user, to make it possible for different users to see different results on the same dashboard, available on both Pro and Business plans.
This is accomplished using several new built-in snippets that resolve to a value inside any query:
[CLUVIO_USER_EMAIL] — email of the logged-in user
[CLUVIO_USER_FIRSTNAME] — first name of the logged in user
[CLUVIO_USER_LASTNAME] — last name of the logged in user
[CLUVIO_USER_ROLE] — role of the logged in user — admin/analyst/viewer
If you would like to take these features for a spin, sign up for Cluvio now.
If you already have a Cluvio account just let us know, we’d be happy to enable the Business plan on your account to try or extend an expired trial.
